Dillon Engineering announces 64K-point overlapped FFT IP core for UltraScale+ FPGAs#

October 23, 2026

Dillon Engineering has released fft_64k, a run-time configurable FFT/IFFT IP core that processes transforms from 64 to 65,536 points at a continuous 275 million samples per second, with frame overlap of up to 75%.

fft_64k uses 32 parallel radix-2 butterflies and compact, symmetry-folded twiddle ROMs to fit a full 64K-point overlapped transform in an AMD Kintex UltraScale+ KU5P. Transform length, direction, scaling and overlap can change on every frame, and results come out in natural order at four samples per clock.

The core ships with a bit-accurate C and Octave/MATLAB model, a self-checking testbench, and scripts for simulation and implementation, so customers can verify system performance to the bit before they commit to hardware.

fft_64k is aimed at radar, lidar and communications systems that need long transforms on a continuous input stream.

fft_64k is available immediately under a project license. Full specifications, the block diagram and device utilization are on the fft_64k product page. For pricing, contact us.
